Trying To Avoid Replacing More Than Necessary
Hello all, hope everyone’s doing well. I wanted to get some opinions after something that came up during a test session this week. We were checking a piece of equipment that needed different voltage levels during setup, and the original suggestion was to make permanent adjustments to the system. Before moving ahead, one of the technicians recommended trying a variac autotransformer first so we could adjust the voltage gradually and see how the equipment responded without changing everything at once. I’m curious if anyone here has used one in a practical setting did it end up being a useful tool or only for specific situations?
